World Scholar’s Cup
Simon Pocock, Year 10 Cameron placed second overall in the debating. The team of Simon Pocock, Year 10 Cameron, Oscar Ho, Year 10 Cameron and Oliver Spurling, Year 10 Alexander won the Scholar’s Bowl event and went on to place third overall in the Senior Division.
Artworks by Leaving Year 12 Visual Art (ATAR) students Luca Datodi, Brisbane and Thomas Macknay, Ferguson have been selected to be included in The West Australian Pulse 2023 Exhibition at the Art Gallery of Western Australia schedule for April 2023.
Alexander Garbowski, Year 10, Stuart, spent a week in a professional football (soccer) academy in Singapore, which was a great chance for him to better understand all aspects and requirements of choosing professional path in soccer.
Sean Christie, Year 12 St Andrews, was selected to represent Australia in the National Under 19 Men’s Floorball team. The team won a regional qualification tournament in New Zealand a won this tournament and will go on to compete at the 2023 Floorball World Cup in Denmark next year.
Tex Cross, Year 11, Anderson has been selected in the WA Flippers Squad after achieving the selection qualifying standard at the WA Short Course Swimming Championships where he placed 1st in the 400m freestyle, 200m individual medley and 400m individual medley and 2nd in the 200m freestyle and 800m freestyle. As a part of this programme, Tex will travel to Singapore to compete in the Singapore Swimming Major Games Qualifier in November.
Mandeep Singh, Year 10, Keys has been selected for the WA State Junior Golf Team and will play in both the Junior Amateur and Inter State Series in Tasmania in April of next year.
