Expeditions
Outdoor Education is a compulsory part of the Scotch curriculum. Students in Year 9 participate in a one-week programme at Moray. The programme occurs at different times during the year for groups of Year 9 students.
Year 10 students participate in an expedition. Expeditions occur during either the July holiday break or in the last week of Winter Term, continuing into the September holiday break. There is an additional cost for expeditions, which differs dependent upon the choice.
Expeditions include;
- Karijini – July
- Ningaloo Dive – July
- Ningaloo Sea-kayaking – July
- Canoe Expedition – Murray River – September
- Cape to Cape – September
- Caving and Climbing – September
- Mountain bike riding – September
- New Zealand Adventure – September (will be impacted by the COVID 19 situation and international and interstate travel).
- Surfing – Margaret River – September
- White Water Kayaking – Murray River – September
- Horse Riding – September
Boarding students (Years 7 – 12) also participate in the walking of the Bibbulmun track. This culminates in Year 12 with the students walking into Albany having completed the whole journey of 1000 km.
