Personal Property
Boys should not bring unnecessary expensive equipment to school. All books, clothes, calculators, bags etc, are to be marked with the owner’s name. Boys must not leave valuable items in their school bags. They must be locked away.
Mobile Phones (Policy)
If a mobile phone is brought to school it must be turned off during the school day, including recess and lunch breaks and preferably secured in the student’s locker. This extends to all co-curricular activities where the phone may be deemed to detract from involvement in the activity.
On occasion, mobile phones may be used during class time with the express permission of a teacher for educational purposes. Staff will advise students when this will occur.
Where mobile phones are audible and/or visible they will be confiscated until the end of the day. The student will need to collect the phone from the Assistant to the Deputy Head of Senior School.
Second and subsequent infractions will see the mobile phone held by the Deputy Head of Senior School for up to a week and the parents may be asked to collect the phone from the College.
Repetitive disregard for the College’s policy will result in further consequences.
Students who use mobile phones at School for sending text messages, instant messages, photos or making or taking calls and messages during tests and examinations will be deemed to have cheated and will have a zero recorded for that particular test or examination paper.
No phone is to be used to capture or record staff, students or anyone else without the express permission of the staff member or student and for educational purposes only.
Unauthorised photos, audio or video taken and/or sent using a mobile phone at school, on camps, excursions or at College functions are not allowed as this infringes the privacy provisions of all members of the College community. Any such use of a mobile phone may have serious consequences.
School Property (Damage to)
Should be reported at once to a teacher. Boys will be expected to make good any damage other than fair wear and tear.

If the item is named, Uniform Shop staff email the owner directly to arrange collection. Lost mobile phones are stored with the Assistant to the Deputy Head of Senior School. Lost laptops are taken to 1 degree.
Lockers
Lockers are allocated each year. Every boy is responsible for the locker registered in his name and he may not change to another locker without permission. If he finds that the locker allocated to him has been damaged, he should report such damage immediately to his House Head. Under no circumstances may a boy open a locker belonging to another boy. Each locker must be locked before the owner leaves it. Lockers must be left empty and unlocked at the end of the school year. The School will provide locks and only these locks may be used on a locker.
