HONOURS
Kalib Dempster Park, Year 12 Shearer House
Kalib has represented the College in Athletics for the past five years and made a significant contribution to the College winning the Alcock Shield in 2022 for the fifth consecutive year.
Throughout this time, he won numerous 800m and 1500m races, the majority in Division A. A highlight at the 2022 PSA Interschool Carnival saw Kalib place a stride behind the winner, recording one of the fastest 1500m times achieved at this event. He was School Age Champion in both 2021 and 2022.
Incredibly, Kalib’s main competitors have been state level athletes who train year-round with professional coaches. Despite his comparatively limited training, due to his main focus being football, Kalib runs his races to perfection, starting fast, then utilising his mental fortitude to hold his place just behind the leaders, before giving every ounce in the final 100m in pursuit of the win, leaving nothing on the track.
Kalib is undoubtedly one of the most outstanding athletes to have represented Scotch College and is a worthy recipient of Honours for Achievement in Athletics.

DRAMA
HONOURS
Hudson Grant, Year 12 Alexander House
Hudson has captured the attention of Scotch College audience members since Middle School. In every production, he has approached his role extremely seriously and committed himself above and beyond to produce performances of an outstanding quality.
In 2022, Hudson successfully embraced the opportunity to play the role of the wildly eccentric Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, requiring a diverse range of physical and vocal skills, creativity, excellent comic timing and endless energy. Hudson not only possesses all these qualities but embraces experimentation and improvisation in rehearsals to further extend his characterisation. His talent, combined with discipline and endless hours of vocal rehearsals saw him master a challenging and complex vocal score, delivering a compelling performance night after night.
During rehearsals, Hudson consistently conducted himself with professionalism and humility. His dedication and collaborative spirit set an outstanding example for the younger students who looked to him for guidance and inspiration.
These exceptional qualities as a performer make Hudson a worthy recipient of Honours for Achievement in Drama.
FOOTBALL
HONOURS
Coen Livingstone, Year 12 Alexander House
Coen debuted in the 1st XVIII Football team in 2021. He made a significant contribution towards the College winning the Alcock Shield in both 2021 and 2022, earning Colours each year.
His developed skills and confidence over the past year saw Coen elevated to the State 18 Football team, where he played several games as a younger squad member.
Coen finished 2022 with a rating average of 4.67 out of six, including two best on ground performances. An untimely injury early in the season resulted in Coen missing games for the state side. This impacted upon his count in the Cyril Hoft Medal for which he would otherwise have been a competitive contender.
Coen dominated games in the air against key opposition players. He was the dominant ruckman in the competition and with his agility and competitive nature, at times he followed up his own ruck taps to win clearances. In the forward line, his powerful marking created set shots and he ably brought other forwards into the game.
Coen is a deserving recipient of Honours for achievement in Football.
HOCKEY
HONOURS
Mitchell Hyde, Year 12 Stuart House
Mitchell has played in the 1st XI Hockey team since Year 10 and has been a key member of the midfield. This year, as Captain, his strong leadership skills and passion for the game saw him set an example for others by challenging his teammates to achieve ongoing improvement.
Mitchell has been selected to represent the state in every age group. He has represented the College in the School Sport WA Under 12 and Under 16 teams, as well as playing for Western Australia at Under 13, Under 15 and Under 18 level. As a member of the winning National Championship team, Mitchell’s performances saw him identified as part of the Australian ‘Futures Squad’, one of only eight Western Australian players and one of four PSA students to be selected.
Mitchell has been a key cog in developing a culture that Hockey at Scotch College can be proud of and in developing relationships within the Scotch Hockey community by regularly attending and assisting during Year 7 training sessions.
Congratulations to Mitchell on receiving Honours for achievement in Hockey.

HONOURS
Emanuel Radici, Year 12 Cameron
Emanuel has immersed himself in Music at Scotch College since Year 3, with a list of ensemble participation that would rival many a musician at Scotch. He has represented the College at public concerts, Kirk @ Scotch services and numerous state festivals. Emanuel was the only student invited to play in the pit orchestra for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, playing second violin in a musical for which the string parts are demanding for even a professional musician. Beyond the College, in 2019 he played violin with the West Australian Youth Orchestra Camerata Strings (WAYO).
Whilst in Senior School, Emanuel has not missed a single performance and, during Year 12, had 100% attendance at rehearsals.
As Captain of Music, Emanuel was the first to arrive at rehearsals and the last to leave, consistently modelling appropriate preparation and behaviour. He mentored other students across year groups, and from PLC, and ran sectional rehearsals for the Concert Band, quietly demanding the highest standard of performance from himself and those around him.
Emanuel is the embodiment of a servant-leader and has performed his duties in a quietly charismatic and considered manner at all times. He is a thoroughly deserving recipient of Honours for Music.
