Tony has represented the College in Athletics since Year 7 and made a significant contribution to the College winning the Alcock Shield in 2021 for the fourth consecutive year.
In both 2019 and 2020, he won and set records in the Under 16 and Under 17 800m races respectively at the PSA Carnival.
In Year 12, Tony was voted Captain of Athletics. He provided outstanding leadership through the example he set during training and competitions and his ability to connect with and motivate the team. His winning time of 1m 56.81sec in the Open A Division 800m is one of the fastest ever run at the PSA Carnival.
Beyond the College, Tony continued to demonstrate his amazing work ethic and natural instinct to give his absolute best in the heat of competition. This combination has seen him consistently win 400, 800m and 1500m races in both the State Athletics School Boy Championships and the National Athletics Championships.

Max joined the Pipe Band in 2017 and has completed three years in the ‘A Team’ which is exceptional. He has participated in 84 public engagements including 14 as a soloist.
Max’s piping is of a very high standard and he would be graded Intermediate in the Australian Pipe Band College. He performs pieces of advanced time signatures, far exceeding expectations for a member of a school Pipe Band. In 2019 Max won the State Pipe Band Championships in Juvenile and the Fremantle Championships in Juvenile/Grade 4.
Max performed on the world stage at the Basel Tattoo Switzerland in 2019 and his conduct and contribution was without fault.
He voluntarily attended Year 9 and Development Band practices and provided direction and assistance to the younger Band members.
In 2021, Max was appointed Pipe Major in recognition of his ability and excellent attitude. He has provided strong leadership in the Pipe Band and been an exemplary role model, consistently completing tasks without direction and with a quiet and measured approach.
Max is a worthy recipient of Honours for Achievement in the Pipe Band.
Honours
Matthew Kerfoot, Year 12 Keys
Matthew joined the Pipe Band in 2017 and has also completed three years in the ‘A Team’ and to date, he has participated in 96 Pipe Band engagements.
Matthew’s drumming skills and technique are of the highest order. As the result of exceptional hard work and dedication, he possesses an extraordinary ability to play very complex tunes and would be graded Intermediate in the Australian Pipe Band College. He was successful in winning the State Pipe Band Championships in Juvenile 2019 and the Fremantle Championships in Juvenile 2018/2019 and Grade 4 2019.
Matthew represented the College at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in 2018 and the Basel Tattoo in Switzerland in 2019 demonstrating exemplary conduct throughout.
Matthew was appointed Drum Sergeant for 2021 and provided strong leadership in the drum corps. He consistently demonstrates an excellent attitude and leads by example, completing all tasks independently and without direction.
It has been a joy to have Matthew as a member of the Pipe Band and his contribution has been greatly appreciated. Matthew is a deserving recipient of Honours for Achievement in the Pipe Band.
Rugby
Honours
Bradley Avery, Year 12 Cameron
Brad has represented the College in Rugby for a number of years and debuted in the First XV team in Year 11, going on to receive the Coaches’ Award for the season.
In 2021, Brad was a stand-out in the First XV team. A determined player, he possesses an intense desire to win and fearlessly places his body on the line in order to do so.
Brad’s performance in the PSA competition was spectacular. His kicking game is in a class above others and is overshadowed only by his attacking skills. He has an intrinsic ability to put the ball behind defences, into attacking channels or into touch, to either create or relieve pressure.
Brad’s excellent attitude ensured he was an exemplary role model for his peers and a great ambassador for the College.
Beyond the PSA competition, Brad’s talent and incredible form this season saw him selected for the WA State 18’s Rugby Team that travelled to NSW and the ACT and, more recently, he was selected in the WA State 17’s Rugby Team.
Congratulations to Brad on receiving Honours for achievement in Rugby.
