William (Will) Marshall (Year 12 Ross House)
Will has played in the Firsts Water Polo team for three seasons, including the 2020 Dickinson Cup winning season.
Will was a superior attacking player and despite the opposition often ‘double teaming’ him in an attempt to minimise his impact, he was the College’s top goal scorer. Equally strong was his ability to drive from the perimeter or earn a penalty shot.
While maintaining his commitment to the College programme, Will played for the UWA City Beach Water Polo Club, with highlights from this year alone including representing the Club in the Under 18 National Championships, winning the Under 18 Club Grand Final and being awarded the Junior Polo Bear Award for outstanding service to the Club.
In 2021 Will was named Captain of Water Polo. His leadership of the group was demonstrated through his mentorship and support of the junior players in training and in games and this will likely be his greatest legacy.
We thank Will for his contribution to the programme at Scotch College and congratulate him on receiving Honours for Water Polo.
