Margaret River – Climbing and Caving
This expedition will be based in the Margaret River Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park. Students will have the opportunity to develop skills in climbing and abseil on 40m high granite sea cliffs overlooking the waves of Wilyabrup sea cliffs. The caves of the Karri forest will also be explored to see the amazing underground formations of some of WA’s best limestone cave systems. All the technical and camping equipment will be supplied.
Students will provide their own meals including breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for this programme.
Prerequisites
- Students with a know medical condition for example (diabetes, anaphylaxis, asthma) or a recent injury will require a doctors medical clearance and action plan.
- Fitness capacity to hike to sites and climb/abseil for 6 hours per day for 5 days is essential.
- Comfortable with heights and confined spaces.
